Londa voted Mediterranean Leading Boutique Hotel 2009

Third year success for Londa Hotel Cyprus at World Travel Awards
Winner 2009 Mediterranean’s Leading Boutique Hotel

The Londa, the luxury contemporary boutique hotel with a beachside location in Limassol Cyprus has, for the third year running, been recognised by the World Travel Awards (WTA) by winning another major travel and tourism award.

For the second year in a row the accolade Mediterranean’s Leading Boutique Hotel was awarded to the Londa last night at a spectacular ceremony staged in Obidos in Portugal in front of a host of top travel industry professionals. In 2007 the Londa Hotel was the winner in 2007 of WTA’s Cyprus’ Leading Hotel.

With over 170,000 industry professionals casting their votes for what they consider to be the very best travel, tourism and hospitality products and services in Europe, this year’s poll was the highest in the WTA’s 16-year history.

General Manager Mr Jochen Niemann comments, “I am especially delighted to accept this award from the WTA for the third year. The challenge for any hotel is to provide a great product day after day, year after year. We know many guests are attracted to our unique design credentials but it is our success in being able to offer consistent high standard hospitality that so many of our guests are regular visitors.”

This modern Italian designed hotel with its stunning views, Über-cool interior and bespoke service culture attracts leisure guests and also business clients who like its relaxed yet efficient ambience and easy access to the finance district in Limassol. The Londa Hotel’s unique approach to customer service originates from what it calls a “Moments at Londa” philosophy which is based on a multitude of tailor-made services. The result is a guest experience of the highest quality. General Manager Jochen Niemann and his team aim to create wonderful memories for the hotel’s residents which are complemented by the property’s modern, contemporary interior design.

This discreet and refined designer hotel is quietly setting a new fashionable standard for Limassol. In the past dismissed as just an expanded bustling fishing port, the changing face of Cyprus’s second city with its exclusive shopping, vibrant nightlife and wealth of culture in an agreeable climate is now attracting tourists from all over Europe and the Middle East.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge and celebrate excellence in the world’s travel and tourism industry. Winning a World Travel Award has become a desirable endorsement of the success of a travel brand.
