MORE COOL JAZZ GROOVES ARE IN STORE ON SUNDAY 3RD APRIL AS INTERNATIONAL CLASS ACT, GUITARIST AND OUD VIRTUOSO, ‘AMOS HOFFMAN & FRIENDS’, STORM THE AWARD-WINNING CAPRICE RESTAURANT FOR ANOTHER DELICIOUS JAZZYBRUNCH, NO 3 IN THE UNIQUE LONDA JAZZ SERIES
The hugely successful musical jazz programme, the Londa Jazz series, set in the chic ambience of the hotel’s Caprice restaurant, is fast establishing the island’s only contemporary boutique property as a uniquely innovative musical venue. With the third JazzyBrunch in the series returning on Sunday 3rd April, the Caprice will again host some of the finest jazz musicians on the island as its delicious buffet lunch is served from 1.00pm – 3.30pm at €35.00 per person.
‘Amos Hoffman & Friends’ is set to take the Limassol audience by storm as this international guitarist and oud instrumentalist performs a rare musical repertoire that encompasses ethnic to modern Jazz with well known covers and original compositions tucked in-between. Together with the 4aHead line up of top jazz instrumentalists who include George Krasidιs on clarinet and tenor saxophone, Irenaeos Koullouras on contrabass and George Koulas on drums, Hoffman will play guitar and oud (a North African/Asian instrument similar to the lute).
Described as a ‘unique modern jazz instrumentalist’ who began playing guitar at the age of 6, Hoffman’s passion for combining jazz with Middle Eastern music and rhythms sees his musical exploration pushing the boundaries of Jazz into new dimensions. “Hoffman’s international appeal and his demanding overseas schedule makes this a rare and special treat for the Londa’s guests; I’m delighted he’s able to take part in the Londa Jazz series for our 3rd JazzyBrunch,” said Jochen Niemann, General Manager of the Londa Hotel.
“We were lucky enough to enjoy Hoffman’s unique talent when he performed here last year at the Limassol Jazz Festival…fortunately for us he was happy to return!” added Matthew Steliou, Artistic Director of the Limassol Jazz Festival 2010 and the Londa Jazz Series.
The Londa’s unique atmosphere of easy, chill-out chic and the Caprice’s cool Italian styled interior flanked by the tranquil blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea, is the perfect backdrop for ‘Amos Hoffman & Friends.’ The third JazzyBrunch lunchtime buffet will be served between 1.00pm – 3.30pm in the Londa’s Caprice Restaurant on Sunday 3rd April. At just €35,00 per person, including a delicious lunchtime buffet, the ‘Londa Jazz Series’ is sure to be a sell-out; reserve your table now to avoid disappointment.
