GLOBAL RECOGNITION FOR THE LONDA BEACH HOTEL AT THE WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS
The Londa Beach Hotel has been named Cyprus’ Leading Boutique Hotel 2016 and Cyprus’ Leading Hotel 2016 at the prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA) at a Europe Gala Ceremony, held on September 4 in Italy. This is the tenth year in a row that the Londa is bestowed with this esteemed award, which is testimony of its continued recognition of quality and personalized service.
Representing Londa’s management company, Columbia Hotels & Resorts Ltd, Mr. Constantinos Christofi received the awards, at a glamorous red-carpet gala ceremony at the Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, Italy. The event was attended by leading luminaries in the leisure industry as well as international media.
The WTA are presented to leisure industry paragons for their attention to detail and continual improvement, with votes cast by travel and tourism professionals worldwide. Innovation and improvement form the core elements of the Londa Hotel- a luxurious property, offering sophisticated luxury with contemporary trendy touches of comfort and elegance. Keeping pace with the tech-savvy generation and beyond, the Londa launched an application this year, which enables its guests to have access to an all-encompassing information service. The app provides an information platform from a listing of hotel services and concierge recommendations to special activities and events in Limassol, plus so much more.

World Travel Awards were launched in 1993. Now celebrating their 23rd anniversary, the Awards are regarded as the highest achievement any travel product can receive in this globally demanding sector, with the brand ‘recognized globally as the hallmark of quality, with winners setting the benchmark to which all others aspire.’ Votes are cast by over 220,000 travel professionals, including travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organizations. Since 2009, voting has also been opened to the public to reflect the growing role that WTA plays in influencing how people make their travel purchasing decisions.
