Londa hosts celebrated Jazz Concert

The Londa has a deep association with the Jazz community having run our Jazzy Brunches for several years to high acclaim. But we also appreciate that you, our audience, deserve dedicated musical events where the finer melodies can be appreciated without interruption. To this end, we introduce our next Jazz concert with firm favourites the Leonid Nesterov Trio combining their talents with virtuoso saxophonist Kęstutis Vaiginis.

On 25 May at 5pm the Caprice Restaurant will turn into an exclusive concert venue welcoming these renowned musicians.
Just to give a little background, Kęstutis Vaiginis is one of the most talented saxophonists of Lithuania’s young generation, playing with celebrated musicians such as Barbara Dennerlein, Daniel Messina, Hernan Romero, David Berkman, Alex Sipiagin, Ed Howard, Adam Cruz, Randal Corsen, Bilal Karaman, Burak Bedikyan, Ferit Odman, Herbie Kopf and Joonas Haavisto amongst others.
Kestutis has performed his own music all over the world and has won many national and international competitions, including the Gran Prix of the Birštonas Jazz Festival for his significant contribution to Lithuanian jazz and the Europamusicale Music Prize.

One of the most famous saxophonists, Steve Wilson from New York, described Kęstutis’ recording, ‘Unexpected Choices’ as bringing “anticipated joy. His vision is wide-ranging from the subtle to the provocative, rooted in an appreciation of tradition and yet looking forward. Kęstutis is developing a highly personal voice that is primed to make a significant contribution. »
In 2014 Kęstutis Vaiginis released his latest CD ‘Lights of Darkness’ featuring Alex Sipiagin, David Berkman, Ed Howard and Ferit Odman.

On his Cyprus tour, Vaiginis will be performing with the Leonid Nesterov Trio as they celebrate the best in Jazz. The programme is a surprise but the talent is well-known. Featuring piano, drums and double bass, the Leonid Nesterov Trio are the ever-popular attraction at Londa’s Jazzy Brunches and often partner with other famous artists. Like us, they are looking forward hugely to the Kęstutis Vaiginis concert.
So bring your partner, your family, your colleagues, your friends – where we can all celebrate the best in Jazz together at Londa.
