Leto, Greek goddess of motherhood who gave birth to Apollo the sun god and Artemis, goddess of hunting – also known as the Roman ‘Diana’ – is returning to Londa Hotel. In loving spirit anyway!
Following the success of last year’s Mums2Be & Baby Day Expo at Londa, the 6th annual one-day event of all things maternal is once again to be held in the bright, friendly space of the AΩ Conference Room on Sunday 21st October (10am to 6pm).
The unique mother and baby, shopping and information-gathering experience is organised by local social networking site, Mums in Cyprus – now with a proud membership of more than 2,740 subscribers.
This year’s exhibition is held in association with Limassol organisation, Kidsperience, chosen for their progressive, holistic and “child-centred” approach to learning. They will be running a dedicated baby & kids area, which will allow Mum and Dad an opportunity to browse more freely!
The Expo is now a firmly established and much anticipated date in the local calendar. First time mothers and new parents are offered a unique opportunity to gather a wide variety of essential information they need to help them prepare for pregnancy, the newly born, and baby’s first year.
Relaxed informal setting
In a relaxed informal setting, parents will have all the time they need to browse products on display and ask questions on any particular topic, from birthing to breastfeeding, baby care and development to health, exercise, day-care, toys and fashion. Select exhibitors have been handpicked by Mums in Cyprus as amongst some of the best, new or most innovative service or product providers.
As in previous years, Mums In Cyprus have decided to keep the admission free. However, visitors will be invited to help support the network’s chosen charitable organisation, the Centre for Preventive Paediatrics – a vital pre- and post-natal medical screening programme offered free of charge to all pregnant women and new-born babies across Cyprus.
Roll call of top fashion brands
As one of Limassol’s most well-loved small boutique hotels, Londa regularly hosts local and cultural events that offer visitors and guests a new style of 5 star luxury hotel experience. Just 6 days later, on the Saturday 27th October – following hot on the Mums2Be heels – Londa will offer a chance for all woman to step out in true goddess style.

International jazz flavours
The latest in Londa’s Sunday Night Jazz series is on Sunday 28th, featuring rising US female jazz vocalist, Cooper Phillip. Born in Russia and trained at the prestigious Moscow State Classical Academy, Cooper was influenced by the vocal styling of Ella Fitzgerald, and it wasn’t long before the young aspiring musician migrated to the US and released her debut EP “Walk A Mile”.
Jazz nights at Londa often feature musical collaborations with artists from Cyprus, Greece, Russia, the Baltic States and the Middle East. On the night, Cooper Phillip will be accompanied by the acclaimed Leonid Nesterov Trio, comprising Latvian, Leonid Nesterov with Andreas Stephanou from Greece and home-grown Limassol musician, Andreas Stephanou.
After the dizzy delights of luxury brand shopping, could there be a more chilled out way to round off the weekend than to be relaxing on the Caprice Restaurant balcony with the coolest of international jazz flavours served Mediterranean-style.
